Best MOD BIKE Practices
Utilize Guides
At MOD Bikes, we strive to understand our bikes from the customer's point of view. In doing so, we have conducted industry and consumer research, taking first hand experiences into account in order to produce the most comprehensive assembly guides, user guides, and helpful articles. You can access these solutions here.
Professional Assembly
Whether your bike is shipped to you or you have our garage assemble it, all MOD Bikes are quality checked by our mechanics. Although we have created extensive video and technical guides to walk you through each step of the process, we still recommend having the e-bike assembled by a professional to minimize issues at the onset.
Check Your Bike
Since you will spend more time with your bike than anyone else, its important to give your bike a once over before riding. Always make sure your tires are properly inflated, your brakes feel stiff, your seat is not loose, and your chain is properly lubricated. All these steps will ensure you get the most out of your MOD Bike.
Regular Tune-ups
Just like with a car or other vehicle, it will experience wear and tear when in use. We recommend bringing your bike in for a tune-up every 500 mile or 6 months; which ever comes first. If you are unable to bring your MOD Bikes into our headquarters garage, we would be happy to assist finding an e-bike shop in your town. To schedule a tune-up visit our garage on the website.
Helmets Are Critical
We understand wearing a helmet is not required by law. It is still important to note that regardless of how skilled of a rider one is, there are hazards on the road (stationary and moving) that are sometimes unavoidable. The most precious cargo on your bike at any time is your brain. We recommend wearing a helmet whenever your ride your bike. We've taken head safety to a new level by offering a helmet that has lights and turn signals built in; check it out here.
Light Your Way
To maximize safety we have designed your MOD Bike with built-in headlamps and tail lights. It goes without saying that using them when its dark out is an advantageous safety measure, but its worth mentioning that drivers do not typically see a rider during dawn or dust. We recommend utilizing your lights even in the evening and morning twilight hours.
