MOD BIKES offers many accessories to MOD-ify the way you move and many of those accessories allow passengers to ride on the back. Passenger accessories generally require peg foot supports for comfort and safety. The following guide will show you how to install both types of pegs to your MOD BIKE model.
Gather the Necessary Tools and Parts:
Before you begin grab your multitool and pegs and set your bike in an open, well-lit workspace.
Locate the designated mounting spot for your pegs:
Installing Frame PEGS
Frame pegs come with a 5mm allen bolt and have a tooth/notch slot. These pegs fold outward, so when aligning the tooth and notch, ensure the fold is bending out like in the image below. Begin threading the 5mm allen bolt with your finger and then secure it with your multitool.
NOTE: Clicking the frame pegs into their tucked-away position takes a delicate touch; too much force will cause the peg to pop back out to the active position.
Installing Rack Pegs:
Find the rack peg mounting hole on the side of the rear rack. Rack pegs come with a 6mm allen bolt and two washers. Ensure the washers are on both sides of the rack peg mounting hole. The pegs do not lock into a tucked-away position, but they do fold backward to prevent damage in case of impact with something; ensure your pegs fold backward like in the image below. Begin threading the 6mm allen bolt with your fingers and then secure it with your multitool.
