Setting Passwords on MOD BIKES
Controlling your e-bike’s password is essential for both security and convenience. Whether setting a new password for the first time or changing it, this step-by-step guide will walk you through each stage, ensuring you can easily manage your bike's security settings.
Choose your display type and dive in!
V1 + V2 · Monochrome Display
Step 1: Power on your display by holding the 'i' button for 3 seconds. Once the bike is powered on, hold down the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to access the settings menu and scroll down to select "Set Password" by tapping the 'i' button. Type in the current password via the '+' and '-' buttons to change numbers and the 'i' button to move to the next integer.Step 2: Here you can disable, enable, and change the password. Scroll down to change password and select it by tapping the 'i' button. Type in your desired password via the '+' and '-' buttons to change numbers and the 'i' button to move to the next integer.
Step 3: By tapping the 'i' button, enter back into "Set Password' and enter in your newly set password to access the menu. Scroll down to "Enable Password" and select it if you desire to password-protect your bike.
Step 4: Hold the 'i' button for 3 seconds to save your changes and exit the settings menu.
Now when you power on your bike, you will be prompted to enter your set password.
WARNING: MOD BIKES cannot bypass your set password; lockout requires a new display purchase.
V3 · Color Display
Step 1: Power on your display by holding the 'i' button for 3 seconds. Once the bike is powered on, hold down the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to access the settings menu. Using the '-' button, scroll down to "Setup" and select it by tapping the 'i' button and repeat these steps to continue to "Set Password".Step 2: Inside the "Set Password" window, turn your password on/off by tapping the 'i' button. Scroll down to the number boxes and set them via the '+' and '-' buttons to change numbers and the 'i' button to move to the next integer.
Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom of each Settings Menu window until you see "Back" and select it by tapping the 'i' button. Once you are back at your home screen, power off your bike.
Now when you power on your bike, you will be prompted to enter your set password.
