Limited Warranty Coverage
This Limited Warranty applies to all MOD BIKES models purchased on or after January 1, 2022 (“Effective Date”).
Products purchased prior to this date are not covered under this warranty.
MOD BIKES warrants its e-bikes and related products against manufacturing defects and faults in workmanship for the applicable warranty period beginning on the original date of purchase.
This warranty:
Applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
May require proof of purchase for validation.
Is valid only for products purchased and operated within the United States or Canada.
For customers outside the United States or Canada, or those who relocate outside these regions after purchase, all shipping, duties, taxes, and related costs associated with any warranty claim are the responsibility of the customer.
Note: Determination of whether damage or defect is covered under the MOD BIKES Limited Warranty shall be at the sole discretion of MOD BIKES.
Assembly Recommendation:
While all MOD BIKES e-bikes can be assembled by the customer, professional assembly and tuning (e.g., by Velofix or a local e-bike shop) is strongly recommended. Improper assembly or installation voids the warranty.
1. Warranty Claims Process
Before submitting a claim, confirm your issue qualifies under the terms below. Claims outside these parameters may be denied or require further documentation.
Photo or video documentation of the damaged part(s) is required.
To file a claim, submit a Warranty Request via the MOD BIKES Support Form with all requested details.
2. Shipping Damage Coverage
MOD BIKES does not cover shipping damage under the standard warranty but may replace damaged components if:
The issue is reported within 7 days of delivery via the Support Form.
Photos of the damage and original packaging are provided.
Applies to all products, including bikes and accessories.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs associated with warranty replacements outside the lower 48 states are not covered. Replacement parts are shipped only to the original delivery address.
4. Covered Components

Fork & Suspension – 18 Months
Covers manufacturing defects per the original manufacturer’s warranty.
Electric System – 18 Months

Bike chargers (sensitive components affected by drops or power fluctuation)
Battery fuses
Drivetrain – 12 Months
Includes derailleur, chain, cassette/freewheel, chainring & crank, pedals, and shifter.
Covers manufacturing defects only.
Normal wear and tear excluded.
5. Conditions for Warranty Voidance
Unauthorized Modifications
The warranty will be void if the bike has been altered in ways that compromise its structure, safety, or performance, including but not limited to:
Aftermarket Electrical Components: Unapproved batteries, controllers, motors, or wiring changes.
Mechanical Alterations: Frame, fork, or wheel modifications.
Software Adjustments: Firmware or speed-limit changes.
Drivetrain Modifications: Altered gearing or chain systems.
Brake System Changes: Non-approved brake components or fluid types.
Suspension Alterations: Fork/shock modifications.
Lighting Changes: Non-standard visibility accessories.
Cosmetic Alterations: Painting, powder-coating, or chemical treatments.
Non-Approved Accessories: Use of unverified mounts or components.
MOD BIKES reserves the right to assess and determine whether a modification voids the warranty. For clarification, contact MOD BIKES Customer Service before performing customizations.
6. Warranty Does Not Cover
Normal Wear and Tear
Includes but not limited to: Brake pads, chains, grips, tires/tubes, cables, spokes, saddle, kickstand, bell, paint, and logos.
Water Damage
Bikes are splashproof, not waterproof. Any evidence of submersion or moisture intrusion voids the warranty.
Corrosion or Rust
Exposure to saltwater or prolonged outdoor storage can cause corrosion. Such damage is not covered.
Tampering or Unauthorized Parts
Using or installing unapproved parts or accessories voids coverage. Only original MOD BIKES electrical systems should be used.
Misuse or Neglect
Improper storage, overloading, lack of tune-ups, overcharging, or aggressive riding (jumps, stunts, racing, etc.) voids warranty.
Important: Do not perform stunts or maneuvers beyond your skill level or intended bike use.
Accident or Collision
Damage resulting from crashes, drops, or operator error is not covered.
7. Warranty Labor
The owner is responsible for all labor costs associated with warranty service or part replacement. MOD BIKES provides replacement parts and support materials only.
8. Stolen or Lost Bike
MOD BIKES warranty does not cover lost or stolen products.
9. Rentals and Commercial Use
Bikes used for rental or commercial purposes are excluded from warranty coverage.
10. Recommended Bike Insurance
MOD BIKES strongly recommends purchasing bicycle insurance to protect against theft, accidents, or damage. Insurance can also provide liability and accessory coverage, ensuring peace of mind and promoting a safer cycling community.
11. Legal Rights and Limitations
Disclaimer of Liability:
The remedies described above are your sole and exclusive remedies. MOD BIKES’ total liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
No Consequential Damages:
MOD BIKES is not liable for any incidental, special, or punitive damages, direct or indirect.
State Law Exceptions:
Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply.
Implied Warranties:
To the extent permitted by law, MOD BIKES disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, for the duration of this express limited warranty.
