MOD Easy 3 Tips & Tricks

Congratulations on your new MOD Easy! Here are a few tips and trick that are model specific to your MOD Easy 3.

  • Handbrake : The MOD Easy 3 handlebars contain a handbrake. This feature is especially helpful if you also have a SideCar as it will prevent the bike from slowly rolling away when the SideCar is attached.

Simply press and hold the brakes down, then press the handbrake button down to lock the brakes.

  • Easy Battery On/Off Switch : The MOD Easy 3 has an all new battery setup to ensure safety and improved performance. The battery now mounts into a housing inside the tank, locking it firmly in place and allowing for ample space between the battery and controller behind it.
    • The Easy 3 battery contains an on/ off button on the opposite side of the lock. The battery will need to be removed from the tank in order to access the on/off switch.

  • Dual Battery Compatible : The MOD Easy 3 offers dual battery compatibility for extended range without compromised performance. The extra battery kit can be purchased here and can be installed on any MOD Easy 3 model. For more on the dual battery option, please click here.

  • Charging Port : The MOD Easy and Ape Hanger both contain a charging port under the tank, so you do not need to remove the battery every time you need to charge.

  • MOD Connect : The MOD Easy 3 offers wireless connectivity with the Lumos Ultra helmet unlocking the helmet's turn signals and brake lights to enhance rider safety.

  • Headlights : Hold the + button for 2-3 seconds to turn your headlights and tail lights on and off.

  • Version Number: The version number of your bike can be found on the rear of your seat post. If your bike does not have a number, it is version 01 or 02.

  • Mounting Locations :  The Easy and Ape Hanger have pre drilled, mounting locations specifically for both a water bottle and foldylock.

  • Keys : Your Easy 3 comes with 2 sets of keys. Don't loose your Easy keys! The are necessary for opening the tank, which contain the battery and controller.

  • USB Port : There's a hidden USB port at the bottom of the display screen and will charge certain devices on your ride!

  • Error Code 25: Be sure not to hold the brakes when turning the bike on! This will activate Error code 25 on your display.

  • PSI : The proper PSI can be found on the side of your tire. This will let you know the correct pressure to inflate your tire to.
